Marriage is such a sacred unity. We were taught to always lean on God while we walk through this journey we call life. It doesn't stop there after you say I do. In a marriage, there is not just and wife, there is one other valuable member in this relationship and that is God. When you said your vows, you said them before God. God is the center of it all. He is the one who will guide us through the good times and the bad times.
Satan desires to destroy your marriage through deception, this is what leads to divorce.
Though the devil tries to destroy a marriage, God's Word reminds us to
"be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil" (Ephesians 6:10-11).
One piece if armor I use is Prayer. Praying for your spouse is an essential tool for your marriage.
Sometimes I would pray to God for my husband and talk about whatever is on my mind and whatever I see my husband needing help with. I also like to use this book called "Thirty-one Days of Prayer for My Husband" by Jennifer Smith to get more guidance of what else is essential to pray for my husband.
"Thirty-one Days of Prayer for My Husband" is an amazing book, they have scriptures you can read to learn more about marriage, prayers to read to God for your spouse, a place to write your own personal prayers for your spouse as well as little activities to enjoy that will help strengthen your marriage. I love it!! I will include the link below if you want to buy the set. My husband and I both got a book for each other. I am not sponsoring this product or getting anything from it, I just think it is an amazing tool for your marriage and wanted to share it!
One of my personal favorite prayers I love to pray for husband is:
Grant my husband courage and the ability to find His strength in you. I pray he would not fear nor be dismayed and He would remember that You are always with Him. Holy Spirit, strengthen him with power his inner being. (Ephesians 3:16; 6:10, Joshua 1:6-9)
Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your spouse and marriage to the Lord, amazing things will happen.
